The problem was simple: how to express oneself effectively, clearly and credibly.
Since that first enquiry, we have developed a course to enhance formal and academic writing skills. Over the years, the course has been improved, strengthened and clarified, with the help of our clients.
Our clients’ feedback is important for us, for we build courses for them, and without them we would not exist. From that seed, we have created a number of courses to reflect real-life situations, helping students, researchers and businesses alike.
Our aim is to share our experience and knowledge, making your words matter and build your confidence.
The business began by accident; a client sent an urgent message: “I have a thesis to write on Egyptian food and beliefs; in English. I need to know how to write.”
He knew his limits. He wanted to ensure the words fitted the context, he wanted sentences to flow, and he wanted to get a good grade! He saw challenges in combining all into an effective piece of writing, so asked for help, advice and support.
The problem was less about the ingredients, and more with the recipe. The idea of going through grammar structures, working out which words were more effective and why, and then trying to understand where to place everything, scared him.
