Refunds and refund credits
If the course you purchased is not what you were expecting, you can request, within seven (7) days of your purchase, that Argot Courses apply a refund to your account. (seven (7) days is defined as: day one being the day of payment (set as received according to GMT) plus six days).
We reserve the right to apply your refund as a refund credit or a refund to the original payment method, at our discretion, depending on capabilities of our payment processing partners, the platform from which you purchased your course (website, mobile or TV app), and other factors. Monies cannot be refunded to a different card, bank account, or any other method, other than the original payment method.
A processing fee of up to 5% may apply to cover reversal fees (rounded up to the nearest whole unit e.g. pound sterling, euro, etc. of the amount received; this may differ from the paid amount).
No refund is due after 7 days. However, if a course you previously purchased is disabled for legal or policy reasons, you are entitled to a refund beyond the 7 day limit. Argot Courses also reserves the right to refund students beyond this limit in cases of suspected or confirmed account fraud.
To request a refund, please contact [email protected], or contact us, for further information.
If we decide to issue refund credits to your account, they will be automatically applied towards your next course purchase on our website. Refund credits may expire if not used within the specified period, and have no cash value, in each case unless otherwise required by applicable law.
At our discretion, if we believe you are abusing our refund policy, such as if you have consumed a significant portion of a course that you want to refund or if you have previously refunded a course, we reserve the right to deny your refund, ban your account, and/or restrict all future use of the Services. If we ban your account or disable your access to a course due to your violation of these Terms, you will not be eligible to receive a refund.

Mentor and consultation services
Every client has a mentor to guide them through their course. While mentors advise, guide, and answer questions and queries, the mentor’s primary function is not as unpaid private tutor, then advisor.
Reasonable use of your mentor’s time is expected but, should questions, comments or issues require more time, we may suggest a private consultation, which should be booked and paid for before a consultation takes place.
If the nature and quantity of correspondence between client and mentor require a consultation, this will be recommended, and further questions, queries and issues should be discussion during the consultation. Whilst we aim to be flexible and accommodating, our decision is final.
If any action is considered outside the remit of the mentor, or of Argot Courses, we will advise.

- Where mentioned, clients may have online contact with a mentor for a specified time (e.g. two hours), or, if in a presential capacity, for the duration of that course.
- Mentors are available between core hours (from 9am to 5pm GMT) although many will work outside of these hours (with some starting earlier and finishing earlier).
- For our standard courses, mentors only advise on writings within the course. Personal writings, such as degrees, proposals, reports, or any other writing, or where these are to be submitted in any capacity, will not be covered. If you need advice on personal writings outside the remit of the course, please contact us.
- Where the WhatsApp or Telegram option is taken, this is text based only, not for calls to your mentor, unless this option is selected.
