While grammar is essential, we look at other sentence fundamentals required to produce clear, readable writing. |
A sentence should communicate its message, whether long or short, simple or complex.
By understanding what obscures our message and identifying elements which better present our argument, our voice becomes influential, powerful and reliable. |
What you will learn

Specifically designed for non-native English speakers, this course takes you through the fundamentals of what makes a good sentence, through more complex structures.
Starting with the basics, we look at each sentence part, from word order through to sentence type. |
We continue with sentence type and length and when to use each.
We also look at how to construct a balanced sentence, how to edit, so we only write what is necessary, and how to create a reader-friendly text. |
