The Principles of Good Writing
Introduction
Good writing is clear and reader-friendly: clarity in business is vital, but clarity can be elusive.

We know we should write for our reader: tell them what they need to know, show them how it helps them, and ensure all information is in the correct order.
Organising our thoughts and ensuring our sentences function correctly takes time, something we all lack.

This course takes you through the writing process, whether a formal email or what pitfalls to avoid.
What you will learn
Specifically designed for non-native English speakers, this course takes you through the fundamentals of business writing.

This course provides detailed examples, as well as explaining why we do certain things.

In addition, we not only show and explain errors, so you know what to avoid and why, but also good and poor writing practices.
We look at creating the right tone, producing reader-friendly writing and how to order our writing for best effect.

Furthermore, we see how wordiness confuses and hides meaning, how concision and precision takes time, and how word choice affects readers.
Support and flexibility
Although this course is designed for self-study, giving you the flexibility to fit it around your schedule, you do have a mentor.

Should you have any questions, just send an email and they will guide and advise you.
Use your online one-to-one sessions for more in-depth questions and to receive feedback on your progress.
