Writing

An art less recognised.

Writing with clarity, cohesion and coherence takes time and much effort. It requires practice and care; not something to rush. It combines grammar, appropriate sentence structures and well-organised paragraphs, all beautifully woven to produce reader-centric writing.

Task

You are given some words with which you need to create a short text. Whether a story, email or report, you decide. Writing clarity means:

  • ensuring your text logically connects and flows

  • using appropriate grammar and connective words

  • ideas flow and the overall theme is taken through each sentence and from one paragraph to the next

  • the end neatly concludes the text

Writing takes time, usually longer than we think, but your reader will thank you. The below presentation illustrates the writing and revision process.
